Odd One In

"Odd One In" tests your students’ knowledge of morphemes. In this free teaching resource, students are given a series of slides. On each slide, they must analyze the vocabulary and decide which is the “odd one in”.

Students are encouraged to use the skills they have developed in morphemic analysis to establish which word is incorrectly placed in the list.

On some occasions, there might not be an obvious odd one in, meaning students will need to work really hard to justify their reasoning!
